The Picasso is a boutique serviced residence at 119 L.P. Leviste Street, Salcedo Village, Makati. It opened in 2009 and is managed by Hospitality Innovators, Inc. (HII), which runs 17 or more properties across the Philippines.
Inside are 143 residences across six room types, from the 45-sqm Malaga Studio to the 93-sqm bi-level Picasso Loft. Every one has a private balcony, a full kitchenette, and 300Mbps WiFi. The building itself is the point: a Cubism-inspired design where every room name, colour, and line traces back to Pablo Picasso and the movement he founded.
Downstairs, Pablo Bistro serves Spanish-Mediterranean food from 7:00 AM to midnight, and Cartel Deli pours Coffee by Yardstick until 10:00 PM. On the third floor, Altro Mondo Gallery changes its exhibition of Filipino contemporary art every two to three months — open to guests and to the neighbourhood, free. Check in from 3:00 PM, check out by 12:00 PM.

It was my birthday, and it was a pleasant surprise that they upgraded our room to a suite when we got there -even leaving a slice of cake as per my wife's request. They even had us check out an hour later, as we went there around 7 p.m. that night. The staff was very corteous (even the guards!). All I can say is, one night was just too short! We'll be staying there longer next time!
